We always use HOME DEPOT, EXPO (Home Depot's more luxurious retail outlet) or LOWES for ideas etc. to identify manufacturers and specific model numbers etc.

Next we do extensive searches on EBAY and the internet to find out of state dealers who offer lower markup.

It's good you have access to a Contractor that might be able obtain a better price locally via wholesale sources but in general, a lot depends on timing and the Contractor's drop dead date for installation.

Best of Luck!

You need to get a piece of wire or nail and push into that little hole on trim ring until lock clicks. This is a real bear with an Emtek cause you have to push it in straight and the knob gets in the way
GOOD LUCK!!

EDIT:
Are you in yet????? This is why I unscrewed the locks from my kids doors.

some of the brands have a set screw in the strike. if you open the door and look at the strike there should be a small hole near the strike, if so youl need a allen wrench that will fit and loosen the set screw.

If there is a cylinder (i.e. it can be locked/unlocked with a key), then you have to insert the key, turn it, and then depress the tab to remove the handle, then you should be able to get at the mounting screws.

Emtek cylindrical locks are just like schlage A-series.
